We always work hard to offer events that families can take part in together. Some of our most exciting events so far include Movie Mondays, Family Forensics Fridays and our Christmas Grotto weekends.

Here you can find out about what we are focusing on with visiting families and learn about our upcoming events.
October 2026
Ghosts and witches abound at Hallowe’en at the Lock-Up!

Hallowe’en is one of our favourite times of year at West Midlands Police Museum and we have lots of exciting activities planned for October Half Term 2026.
Join us on 28th, 29th or 30th October and you can complete a trail around the museum based on the true stories of Birmingham ghosts, to win your very own creepy prize and make a nameplate for your bedroom door.

Following the success of our ‘Nursery Crimes’ trials in February 2025, at 11am and 1pm each day, a few lucky families will be able to join in with our latest mock trial, on the theme of ‘Scary Tales’. Our child plaintiffs will be able to put their grown-ups on trial and allow our visitor jury to decide on their guilt or innocence.
All of these activities are included in normal ticket prices, so why not join us for some scary fun this half term?
October is Black History Month

October marks Black History Month, and this year’s theme is ‘Honouring our communities’. Keep an eye on the news feed on this website for weekly stories of history-making Black officers from the West Midlands.
